NFC (Near Field Communication)

What is NFC?

NFC enables the user to read or write data without touching the ‘receiver’ or ‘sender’, it is a contactless communication method. The data can be transferred in the blink of an eye and that is why this is currently one of the ‘hottest’ technologies. Cell-Idea brings this technology to mobile devices such as cell phones. People carry their cell phones with them most of the time, if they can use their cell phones as wireless data receivers or senders convenience is guaranteed.

Mr. John’s Situation

Mr. John travels a lot for business, during his travels he meets lots of new people, but keeping their business cards is not always convenient. At a business fair he meets many potential business partners, and he also sees a lot of interesting ads and posters.

Cell-Idea’s solution

Mr. John builds a NFC reader into his mobile phone. Next time he meets someone he’d like to share his contacts with he can just collect his data by simply reading the data from his NFC business card to his NFC-enable mobile phone. When he sees an ad of a company he’d like to keep in mind, he can read the data from the ad by simply holding it closer to read the data written in the NFC-enabled poster. Mr. John comes home after a long day, switches his computer on and copies all the files and contacts he collected to his computer. He now has a great database of people and companies. He doesn’t need to sort out different business cards, next time just has to look into his own personal database.
